Long lasting floors start with full surface preparation including grinding to clean concrete and complete repairs. With older floors a vapor barrier primer sealer is a good idea. Vinyl flake is fully broadcast in to a colored base coat. Loose flakes are removed and the surface is coated with a high solids epoxy top coat at about 100 square feet to the gallon. Polyaspartic may be used for the topcoat instead of epoxy for maximum chemical and abrasion resistance.
